Thanks to Shell’s new policy as of 2018, fathers get 8 weeks paternity leave!  That means that Connor has to put up with my constant talking, dad jokes, and science explanations for natural events for 8 weeks straight!  Isabel had some respite with Nanna, Pappy, Gramma, and Padre while I had to go back to work full time.  Connor gets me in all my glory (even though Nana, Pappy, Gramma, and Padre all came to visit as well). 

Of course, since learning is important, one of our first stops was the New Orleans Public Library to get him is own library card!  That way, I’m not responsible for his late fees and lost books. ;) 

We also took a field trip to the zoo, which he found to be very very boring.  So boring, he slept through the whole thing except to complain that he was hungry. 

Isabel makes sure that he gets to go on ‘fun’ trips to Whole Foods as well.  She insists that everyone goes, including her little brother. 

But...thankfully, CPK is pretty chill so he spends most of his time snuggling with someone, reading books with Isabel, or having ‘free play’ on his jungle mat.
